Speaker Grants

BOB is pleased to announce the availability Speaker Grants to support speakers from groups under-represented in technology. We specifically seek women speakers and speakers who would not be able to attend the conference for financial reasons. The goal is to make BOB a more diverse, useful and enjoyable event.

Speaker Grants are available for all speakers accepted at BOB 2020 from under-represented groups in technology.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of Michael Sperber, Active Group, and Stefan Wehr, Checkpad MED, and will be accepted based upon need and impact. All information will be kept confidential by the committee.

We currently have six Speaker Grants available that will cover reasonable travel costs, travel assistance and accommodation for the nights before and after BOB – i.e. from 27 February, 2020 to 29 February, 2020. Note that recipients of Speaker Grants will – like all speakers – enjoy free registration at BOB 2020.

Send e-mail to diversity at bobkonf dot de identifying your talk submission and briefly state your reasons for seeking a grant.

All conference attendees are expected to respect the BOB policies.

If you have any questions, please contact diversity at bobkonf dot de.

Application Close: 8 November, 2019 (i.e. the deadline for call for contributions)

Notifications: Recipients will be notified along with their talk acceptance by 22 November, 2019.
