Registration

BOB 2018 takes place 23th February 2018 in Berlin. Participation in the conference requires a registration. The registration fee of BOB 2018 depends on when you register. We also offer a student discount and a discount for participants of :clojured. Further, we would like to support participants from groups under-represented in technology.

Important: Take advantage of the :clojured discount for BOB does not represent registration for :clojured. You still need to register for :clojured and pay the :clojured registration fee.

Grants

The BOB conference supports participants from groups under-represented in technology (e.g. women). The following options are available:

30% discount on the conference fee for participants from groups under-represented in technology. If you are eligible, please write an e-mail before you register. You will then receive a discount code.
10% discount on the conference fee if you recruit other participants from groups under-represented in technology. Please write an e-mail before you register. You will then receive a discount code.
We have a very limited number of free tickets for the conference. Please write us an e-mail before you register and tell us why you need this kind of support.

The conference fee includes snacks, drinks and lunch.

BOB 2018 also offers several tutorials, which are included in the conference fee. However, limited capacities require that you register for each tutorial individually.

Discount eligibility

If you are eligible for our student discount, you must provide a valid, current student ID at the day of the conference. If you fail to provide a student ID, you have to pay the full registration fee.

If you pay the reduced fee for :clojured participants, you also have to register for :clojured. Please take your :clojured ticket with you when visiting the BOB conference. If you fail to do so, you have to pay the full registration fee.

Child care

BOB offers child care for the entire day at no additional cost. Child care will be in the building of the conference, and provided by Kinderbetreuung “Kunterbunt”. If you would like to sign up for this, e-mail us.

Pre-conference and conference dinner

We’ve reserved a table at the I Due Forni for the evening before the conference (Feb 22) at 19:00. (Pay your own way.)

Moreover, BOB is hosting a conference dinner at the Max & Moritz starting between 18:30 and 19:00 - i.e. right after the conference. This requires advance registration on our registration page.
