BOB 2027 takes place 26 February 2027 in Berlin. Participation in the conference requires a registration. The registration fee of BOB 2027 depends on when you register. We also offer a student discount. Further, we would like to support participants from groups that have been under-represented at BOB so far.

BOB 2027 is an in-person event. We do not offer hybrid or online modes at this time.

Notes

The conference fee includes access snacks, beverages and a buffet-style warm lunch.

BOB 2027 offers several tutorials which are also included in the conference fee. Separate registration for tutorials will be necessary; we'll update you on the how and when asap.

Discount eligibility

If you are eligible for our student discount, you must provide a valid, current student ID at the day of the conference. If you fail to provide a student ID, you have to pay the full registration fee.

Grants

BOB conference supports participants from groups under-represented in technology (e.g. women). The following options are available:

30% discount on the conference fee for participants from groups under-represented in technology. If you are eligible, please write an e-mail before you register. You will then receive a discount code.
10% discount on the conference fee if you recruit other participants from groups under-represented in technology. Please write an e-mail before you register. You will then receive a discount code.
We have a very limited number of free tickets for the conference. Please write us an e-mail before you register and tell us why you need this kind of support.
We may also be able to offer travel grants in some cases. Please send us an e-mail detailling what kind of support you need, and why.

Child care

If you would like to bring your child or children, we will arrange professional child care services on site. Please e-mail us and let us know the number and ages of children you'd like to give into child care for the day (or part of the day). The deadline to sign up for this is 11th January.
